5,000 Visitors and Me!

Yes, that's me!! The Madison Art Society had it's second outdoor show and sale of the summer today in the New Alliance Bank courtyard in downtown Madison, CT. We had an absolutely perfect day for the exhibit. I think we had more than a dozen artists showing, sales were brisk and we had a good number of people come through. Local access TV was there and interviewed all the artists individually, which was really great. Madison has a Sculpture Mile and many of the works are in the courtyard. The Sculpture Mile Foundation had docents available to take folks on a walking tour of the sculpture mile. That combined with and antique show down the road on the green made for a really special day in Madison.

Well, we didn't have 5,000 visitors to the show but Art & Life has now toppped 5,000 visitors since it began Sept. 26, 2005!! THANK YOU to everyone who visits here regularly. Don't forget if you want to get an automatic e-mail each time there's a new post enter your e-mail in the feedblitz box in the sidebar.

The Painting a Day Project is now back in swing after an hiatus. I'm adding new works regularly so be sure to check in there from time to time. The latest work, Checkerboard Cake sold today at the show! If you're a fan of those small format $100 paintings I'm beginning a new series of small format landscapes on my website, I'll also post them here for you to see. The Flower-a-Day series will continue until the garden is put to sleep for the winter, though as the fall progresses there may not be a painting everyday.

Thanks again for visiting, here's to another 5,000 visits!
