Flower-a-Day: Coneflowers

Coneflowers, 6x8, oil/panel
$100, free shipping in the US
Purple coneflowers are a major player in the mid and late summer garden. I have several different varieties, some with the traditional drooping petals, which make them look like shuttlecocks, and some that have been bred to have more vertical petals like a traditional daisy. Next year I am definitely going to make room for some of the new varities that are yellow and orange and some of the "double ones"too.
