Here's something a little different, a figure painted en plein air. The monthly project in the artwork form life forum at www.wetcanvas.com is to paint a figure from life in a background setting and what better place than the backyard! My daughter kindly agreed to be my model. I don't do much figure work, preferring the landscape, flowers and animals, but I thought this would be good opportunity to broaden my horizons a little. It turned out to be more fun than I had expected. I'm thinking that I might do a few more of these and then begin to look for ways to add figures to some of my other plein air paintings.
