Picket Fence

Picket Fence
oil,14x18

On Wednesdays throughout the summer, I meet with a group of plein air artists from the Madison Art Society. Every year our first paint out is in the charming little fishing village of Stony Creek, in Branford, CT. This little village has an "old time" feel to it, and usually a hazy atmoshere and yesterday was no exception. Dotting the Long Island Sound off the coast of Stony Creek are the Thimble Islands , where the notorious pirate Captian Kidd supposedly buried his treasure, on one of the Islands known as Money Island.
