Autumn at Bauer Park
9x12, oil/linen panel
Such a beautiful autumn day! I think we are nearing peak colors. If the weather holds, warm and dry, we will be able to enjoy this for a few more weeks. It's such a joy to be out and surrounded by such delicious colors and tantalizing textures. Autumn is by far my favorite season. Though over the years I've learned to appreciate each of the four seasons for their unique qualities and the feelings they evoke. This lovely spot is part of an old farmstead that is now a park and environmental education center. I've painted here many times and only begun to mine the depths of the natural beauty of this place.
