Hammonassett Sky
12x16
oil on canvas panel

As happens so many times before a show, at the last minute,I changed my mind about an entry!! I had second thoughts about Lieutenant River Bridge from the previous post and decided to enter Hammonassett Sky instead. This piece was done using a painting knife and has great texture and a lot of movement due to the swirling character of the paint when applied with a knife. In a show with many fine plein air pieces I like to present to the viewer a work that's a little bit different and unique. I hope that Hammonassett Sky will accomplish that.
