Nod Hill Oak

Nod Hill Oak,16x20,oil/panel
$500, unframed
This big, old, beautiful oak is just around the corner form my house. I pass it everyday when I walk the dog in the morning and when I'm driving back and forth into town. A group in my town is sponsoring a Trees of Clinton art show in the fall and I immeditely thought of this big oak. There's a little glare in the photo and the darks are a little darker in real life providing a nice contrast to the sunlit foliage.

Nice job. I like the composition, brush work, and the overall way you've captured the air of the scene.

Hi Ed,
Thanks for stopping by! We've got the triple threat going on here... Hazy Hot and Humid, makes for great atmospheric perspective though!
